My comment: Why is this important? What is the Tisha B’AV? I encourage you to study what this means to the Jewish people. It marks the destruction of the First and Second Temples. It’s a significant period of History for the Jews, as well as the world. Jesus prophecied the destruction in 70AD, marking this a historical event for Christians as well. While Hamas & the Middle East deny that Jews or Christians have a claim to the History in this region they are working feverishly to wipe Israel from the face of the map, and and history. Something also significant is the fact that this marks the 1,946 th year since the 70AD destruction. Why is this significant?

This is a screen shot, you can view “Israel in a nutshell” here. And the Arab countries have been trying ever since to rid the land of the Jews and Christians. When you look at it simply and I do mean simply without all the rhetoric, and opinions. When you look from a historical and Biblical perspective, you see that even when the first Temple was destroyed, and moving forward through History, even King Cyrus of Persia recognized the significance of the God of the Jews and was instrumental in their return to Israel. Fast forward to today and you see these very kingdoms coming against Israel today and denying the power of their God, thus bringing us full circle into prophecy. Psalm 83 tells us of this very alignment, all of the prophets fortold this, and as we know from Scripture, the mystery of God through His prophets is about to be revealed. Simply put, but straight from scriptures. Pray for Israel.
(Israel National News) Monday marks the advent of Tisha B’Av, the Fast of the Ninth Day of the Hebrew month of Av, commemorating the destruction of the First and Second Temples and the subsequent exile of the Jewish people from their homeland. This year marks 1,946 years since the destruction of the Second Temple by Roman soldiers in 70 CE, who razed Jerusalem and murdered millions of Jews in order to solidify their rule over the Land of Israel.The Ninth of Av concludes a mourning period that commenced three weeks ago, on the Fast of the 17th of Tammuz, which marked the first stages of the occupation and subsequent destruction of Jerusalem by the Romans in the Second Temple period, and by the Babylonians in the First Temple. The days are spend in introspection and efforts to increase loving-kindness between Jews, to correct the moral and social failings that are seen as the chief reasons behind G-d’s Decision to allow the Romans to exile the Jews.
